Teacher Development Seminar
We are excited to announce we have taken our Teacher Development workshops online and Paul will be hosting a fun and engaging English in Action session for teachers.
Session: A Picture Paints a Thousand Words
Length of Workshop: 2 hours
Format: Delivered via Zoom
Time and Date: Thursday 4th February at 14.00 CET
Session fee: €15
Session Focus: We will look at different ways of using images in your classes to promote and encourage language production and make your lessons memorable and fun for your students.
This will be an interactive workshop with lots of ideas that you can take away and use in class. Some will also be applicable to online teaching. The session will appeal to teachers working with students of all levels and ages. A lot of the activities and techniques can be adapted to suit a range of scenarios.

We will look at the following things:
- Introducing images into your lessons
- Using students to create images
- Encouraging discussion
- Motivating students to speak
What will I need?
- You will need some plain paper and a pen.
- You might find it useful to have your phone handy for some activities.
- You will be required to participate in some of the activities.
Before the session please find a photo on your phone that makes you smile and have it ready to share with the group.
Participants will receive the session notes. A digital certificate of participation and can be provided upon request.
